Eco-friendly Mobile Tech – Options for a Sustainable Future!

Eco-friendly tech has been much debated over the last few years. Given the amount of wastage and how quickly we need to move on to the next shiny thing, if you’re anything like me environmental decisions start becoming an obsession… who needs a social life, right! On the other hand, my overthinking powers, allow me to not often regret my decisions or my eco-friendly purchases.

So, what exactly is eco-friendly technology? According to “TreeHugger” eco-friendly technology is defined as:

• Reduction of polluting substances
• Reduction of greenhouse gas emissions
• Renewable energy
• Energy-efficiency
• Multi-functionality
• Low-impact manufacturing

However, very few devices fit in these categories if any at all, so what do you do?

I can’t tell you to forgo the latest Samsung or iPhone and risk the wrath of the tech gods, given the amount of promotion we do for them. I can however nudge you in the direction of alternatives that are both easier on the environment and on your pocket. Allowing you a social life, saving you the hassle of obsessing like me.

Believe it or not, you get good quality second-hand and refurbished devices, that have been given a new lease on life.
